We have been enjoying our kitchen too much! It is absolutely beautiful and we love everything about it. You have helped us design something that is not only truly beautiful, but practical, efficient, and easily accommodating. I think that sums it up to “perfection.” And again, Kit, thank you for all your hard work, follow up and professionalism. We couldn’t be more pleased.

I have used Kit on two separate projects, the last one being a complete kitchen remodel on an investment property, of which I was doing a majority of the work myself. Kit designed the perfect kitchen by maximizing space, using customized touches throughout, and helping me find deals which gave me top of the line elements without having to pay full price. When I finally went to sell the property, it was the kitchen that ultimately closed the deal. She’s knowledgable, understanding, very good at hearing and working through your concerns, and finding sustainable solutions.

Our kitchen is truly the heart of the house where our large family gathers on at least a weekly basis to cook amazing meals together. Our open architecture kitchen, dining and living room were of the 1960s. We went to Kit because we had seen and loved her designs. We shared with her what we wanted and what we could afford. She took our wishes and returned with a plan for our dream kitchen! High quality, Spacious, efficient, no space wasted, filled with clever design tricks and surprises… and within budget! We bought a 1905 rowhouse in Cathedral Hill, a historic district in St. Paul. Kit’s transformation of a cheap, dark ’70s-built kitchen was remarkable. The kitchen has become the bright heart of the home: with white cabinetry, stainless appliances, glass, and Italian tile and marbled white granite countertops. Because she is immersed in research, her recommendations for everything from finishes to faucets are both current and enduring. Her vision in our home lifted its spirit (and value). Everyone who enters is drawn to the space–where every inch is thoughtfully designed for the resident chef and his followers. Kit is always researching and collecting data to inform her work. And because she herself is a frequent, warm and welcoming hostess, her interiors bend toward beauty and function, modernity and utility. Her generosity and aesthetic are evident in every room (and heart) she touches. Plus, she’s wickedly funny.

Kit was so helpful and super responsive! She helped me pick out a unique and beautiful tile and very attractive pulls for my new kitchen cabinets. I will certainly be using her services to renovate my master bath!

Kit & I worked remotely on a kitchen project using video chat & photos. I owned a contemporary, Danish-style home that was built in 1987. Although the kitchen had the same Danish style as the rest of the house, it was tired and worn out. Drawer boxes were falling apart and the appliances were failing. So I sought help from Kit. We discussed options from a total remodel to refacing to refurbishing. Kit recognized the quality of the original cabinets & suggested that maintaining the Danish design was important to the overall aesthetic of the house. Kit didn’t just think about my kitchen. She considered my house as a whole, which ended up being really important when I later sold the house to a family that valued Danish design. In the kitchen, we ended up rebuilding drawer boxes, updating the hardware, refinishing the door & drawer fronts, and making a few, small interior cabinetry tweaks to improve usability. And we installed a backsplash, all new appliances, & hardwood floors. Even though it wasn’t a complete remodel, it was still a significant investment of time & money. There is no question that Kit’s design-savvy saved me from wildly squandering both.
